Perhaps the biggest fashion trend at
the 2010 Golden Globe Awards was the plethora of navy and black
dresses worn by the stars. Here are 18 of the best (or worst) navy
and black dresses from the evening.
Carey Mulligan wore a navy Nina Ricci
gown with a trailing hem. She accessorized her outfit with antique
Fred Leighton jewels, including a 19th-century reviere in her cropped
hair.
Kate Winslet's dark blue strapless Yves Saint Laurent column dress complete with velvet and diamond belt detail was a stunning gown for the evening. Kate wore matching clutch and heels by Atelier Yves Saint Laurent and Tiffany&Co. diamond earrings and bracelet.
Courtney Cox was stunning on the the red carpet in a black, double crepe, floor length corset dress with a jet black embroidered belt designed by Victoria Beckham. Courtney finished off her looked with Jimmy Choo "Zena" platform sandals and a "Tube" clutch as well as dazzling topaz and diamond statement earrings.
Glenn Close looked elegant at the Globes in a gun-metal strapless gown by Oscar de la Renta.
Halle Berry's clinging, black Kaufman Franco gown had lace insets and a cut-out back. She complimented her dress with Kimberly McDonald earrings and tangles of glittering bracelets from Kimberly McDonald and Irit Design.
January Jones looked glamorous in black Lanvin with a black satin headpiece set off by her cherry red lips.
Jayma Mays wore a black and white strapless Badgley Mischka gown with a spiderweb-like tulle skirt. She rounded out her look with a black satin clutch and drop earrings.
Jennifer Aniston presented an award wearing a black Valentino couture dress with a thigh-high slit, Versace shoes, and Fred Leighton jewelry.
Julia Roberts went more casual for the evening in a short and basic black, long-sleeved, knee-length vintage Yves Saint Laurent wrap dress but she glammed things up with a standout vintage chunky gold Van Cleef & Arpels 18 carat yellow gold sautoir featuring an exquisite pendant made of 29 citrines and diamonds. She finished off her outfit with matching earrings, a bangle bracelet, black suede Christian Louboutin pumps and a satin clutch.

Despite the rain, two stars braved the weather and wore white: Kate Hudson and Kristen Bell.
Kate Hudson wore a white Marchesa dress with a bustier top and long skirt. Kate accessorized with Casadei pumps and a Roger Vivier clutch. She also wore pearl and diamond tassel earrings and a diamond and pearl mesh bracelet by Stephen

Kristen Bell walked the red carpet
wearing a white satin cocktail dress by Jasmine di Milo. Kristen
carried a Judith Leiber clutch, wore Christian Louboutin shoes and
finished her look with a sapphire choker by Van Cleef and Arpels.

At the Golden Globes last night, the Spring/Summer 2010 fashion trend
of pastel and flesh-tone was evident but, make
no mistake, despite the lack of color, the dresses were gorgeous!
Anna Kendrick wore a silver and gold embroidered, one-shoulder sculptural Marchesa gown that featured a dramatic shoulder pouf and embroidered detailing. Anna accessorized with shimmery Cartier white gold and diamond triple orchid drop earrings, a Cartier platinum, diamond and rubelite double orchid cocktail ring and a Judith Leiber clutch.
Chloe Sevigny floated down the carpet in dreamy silver lilac strapless Valentino gown with cascading ruffles. She carried a matching lavender satin "Night Box" clutch by Roger Vivier and she topped the romantic look with gorgeous diamond stunners.
Dianna Agron looked gorgeous in a silver strapless Badgley Mischka gown with a beaded sweetheart bodice.
Drew Barrymore wore an Atelier Versace gown that had curve-flaunting clusters of crystal bead embellishments at the shoulder and hip. She wore Jimmy Choo "Zena" platform sandals, a Roger Vivier "Boite de Nuit" clutch in rose gold and Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings and beige moonstone ring.
Emily Blunt looked beautiful on the red carpet in a blush pink strapless tulle and chiffon Dolce & Gabbana gown with ruffle detail. Emily finished her look with Jimmy Choo "Quinze" booties and a Ferragamo pewter minaudiere with metal and leather inserts.
Heidi Klum graced the red carpet in an icy pale gray off-the-shoulder Roberto Cavalli gown with romantic cap sleeves and a tiered skirt. Heidi wore diamonds and a pink beaded clutch and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

The Golden Globes were held last night
in Los Angeles and the stars were out in full force. Numerous
fashion trends were evident on the red carpet but a few celebrities stood out by
daring to wear bright colors.
Amy Adams wore a custom-made Carolina
Herrera jewel-toned, forest green silk faille sheath dress, a gold
and ruby broach from Herrera's personal collection, gold shoes, a
matching clutch and Tiffany & Co. jewels.
Cameron Diaz wore a red bias-cut
Alexander McQueen gown accessoriezed by a 1950 yellow gold vintage
rope bracelet by Van Cleef and Arpels, a Roger Vivier "Prisme
Pochette" clutch in satin and beaded fringe and Ferragamo black
silk satin peep-toe pumps.
Diane Kruger graced the red carpet with a pink tulle bustier dress from Christian Lacroix Haute Couture, Chanel jewels ("Venitienne" earrings, "Franges ring" and "Ribbon" diamond bracelet) and carried a white "Muse" clutch by Raven Kauffman Couture.
Fergie looked stunning a lilac strapless Elie Saab gown with beaded waist, Harry Winston diamonds and loose curls.
Ginnifer Goodwin pumped up the color on the red carpet with a cobalt blue Vionnet cocktail dress, Judith Leiber clutch, Brian Atwood heels and Neil Lane diamonds.

Marion Cottilard strutted her stuff in deep jewel-toned dark peacock/bottle green, asymmetrical, one-shouldered Christian Dior gown with a daring thigh-slit revealing a peek-a-boo lace inset, Jimmy Choo "Drake sandals" and a Roger Vivier "Navette" clutch in black crocodile. She accessorized with Chopard diamond hair clips, bracelets and emerald-cut ring.

Mo'Nique accepted her Golden Globe wearing a strapless Reem Acra dress, Everlon diamond knot earrings and Stuart Weitzman "Delovely" sandals in gold supple kid.
Sandra Bullock looked stunning on the red carpet and accepting her Golden Globe wearing a violet purple strapless Bottega Venetta gown with sexy sheer skirt, a Bottega Venetta clutch and Casadei's signature 3504 triple platform pumps with long, drop earrings.
